10 of the Strangest and Terrifying Creatures Found Inside Human Bodies

One of the scary moments in our lives is when we see a spider or an insect walking on our bodies.

The truth is, some of the most terrifying things, just imagining them near you, can actually find their way into your body either because you invited them in,

or because of your neglect and lack of personal hygiene, or, God forbid, because of a health condition.

And sometimes, unfortunately, they can reach you without any invitation at all.

Eat slowly and chew your food well a piece of advice we've been hearing since we were young, but one we rarely followed when we felt hungry.

However, what happened to Ron Feden from the state of Massachusetts, USA, will teach you the true value of this advice.

Strangest Creatures Found Inside Human Bodies

The strangest scary things that have been found inside human bodies

1- pea plant

In 2009, Ron, who was 75 years old, suffered from a serious health problem. The main symptoms were breathing difficulties along with a strong, continuous cough.

When Ron was taken to the hospital and examined by specialists, all signs pointed to the possibility of a tumor.

But after doing the necessary tests and scans, the doctors discovered something strange inside him that was the cause of his health problem.

They found that Ron had something like a pea plant, about 5 cm long, growing inside his lung.

What happened was that Ron ate a pea, and instead of going down the esophagus to the stomach, it went into the windpipe and into the lung.

There, it formed roots and started growing like any other plant inside the lung.

What Ron found funny was that after the surgery and the removal of the plant from his body, he What Ron found funny was that after the surgery and the removal of the plant from his body,

one of his first meals at the hospital was a plate of vegetables full of peas. But this time, he was going to eat slowly and chew his food better.

2- a live fish

In 2012, a very strange case was discovered in India involving a 12-year-old boy.

The boy was suffering from breathing problems and was taken to the hospital.

Tests showed that he had a severe drop in blood oxygen levels, but the reason for the lack of oxygen was still unknown.

The doctors were surprised by the X-ray image, as the boy’s left lung appeared completely opaque due to a foreign object inside it.

The big surprise was that this foreign object was a fish, about 9 cm long.

The boy had swallowed it alive while playing with his friends, seeing who could catch the fish alive and eat it.

Instead of the fish going down to the stomach, it went into the windpipe and then to the left lung.

The doctors confirmed that the fish was still alive inside the lung before it was removed in a surgery that lasted 45 minutes, during which the doctors were able to save the patient.

3- little spider

While on vacation on the Indonesian island of Bali, a 21-year-old Australian young man discovered a small red line above his belly button.

Although he didn't pay much attention to it, by the end of the day, he noticed that the line had extended 5-8 cm towards his chest.

When he went to a dermatologist, the doctor diagnosed his condition as an insect bite that caused the redness and recommended a medical cream to help it improve.

However, the next day, he was shocked to find that the line on his body had become inflamed in an abnormal way.

When he returned to the doctor, they discovered that the real cause of his condition was a small spider inside his body.

After the spider was safely removed from the young man's body, the doctors suggested that it had entered through a scar from a recent appendectomy.

The strange thing is that the spider had continued to live inside his body for several days before it died.

4- tapeworm

The strange story of the American woman began in early 2018 when she started experiencing many abnormal symptoms.

These included involuntary movements of her hands, forgetting even the simplest words, hallucinations, and a lack of awareness of time or place.

When she, who was 42 years old at the time, went to the doctors, there were suspicions of a brain tumor.

The doctors were convinced that there was a brain tumor and planned to perform surgery to remove it.

However, the surprise was that the woman didn’t have a tumor; instead, she had a tapeworm in her brain.

The idea of a tapeworm inside a human body is actually not that rare.

However, it is usually found in the intestinal tract, and it is very rare for it to be in the brain.

This condition is an infection caused by the larvae of the tapeworm, which infects humans through consuming food or water containing the eggs of the worms, especially pork.

The strange thing is that, despite the fear and panic someone would feel upon learning that they have a tapeworm in their brain, this woman was very happy when she found out the news.

It was much easier for her to deal with than having a brain tumor, and it spared her the struggle of undergoing chemotherapy.

After the tapeworm was removed from her brain, she began to recover and return to her normal life again.

5- fly larvae

After a trip to Belize in Central North America, an American man noticed a bump on his scalp, accompanied by intense itching.

When he consulted a doctor, he was told it was likely an insect bite he had gotten during his trip.

However, the treatment prescribed to him had no effect at all.

The pain increased, and the bumps on his scalp also grew, as if they were moving.

After consulting a group of doctors and undergoing the necessary tests, they discovered that what was in his scalp were the larvae of a type of fly known as Dermatobia hominis.

This type of fly uses human bodies as hosts for its larvae.

They do this by having the female flies attach their eggs to certain mosquitoes.

Then, when the mosquito lands on a human body, the larvae hatch and begin to grow inside the body.

Some people have strange habits that are constantly with them, like someone who shakes their legs all the time or another person who constantly cracks their knuckles.

But sometimes, these habits can reach a level that is dangerous to a person's health.

6- ball of hair

This is what happened with a young girl from Kyrgyzstan, located in Central Asia, who was taken to the hospital after suffering from severe malnutrition.

She couldn’t keep any food or drink in her stomach, as she would immediately vomit after eating.

When the doctors searched for the cause of her condition, they were shocked to find a giant ball of hair inside her stomach, weighing 4 kilograms.

It turned out that the 18-year-old girl had a condition called Trichophagia, which is a compulsive disorder that drives the patient to eat hair, whether it's from their own head or even hair they find elsewhere.

The accumulation of hair in her stomach led to the formation of a mass of hair that reached her intestines. This condition is known as Rapunzel syndrome.

7- magnet pieces

Children tend to swallow whatever they come across, and sometimes these things can be extremely dangerous.

This is what happened with a young girl from Indiana, USA, who ate pieces that seemed like candy, at least from her perspective.

Afterward, she felt pain in her stomach and was taken to the hospital.

The X-ray revealed that the girl had swallowed more than 30 small pieces of magnets, which started to gather together inside her body.

The doctors stated that the girl was very lucky to survive this incident after they were able to remove the magnet pieces.

8- forks and spoons

A doctor at a hospital in the Netherlands was surprised by the results of an X-ray for a woman who was suffering from unusual stomach pain.

The X-ray showed something resembling a huge squid inside her body. During the surgery, it was discovered that the object inside her was a collection of a large number of spikes and spoons, with more than 72 pieces in total.

The woman had swallowed each piece one by one over time. How could someone manage to swallow spikes and spoons?

This condition is known as Pica syndrome, where a person has a craving to eat one or more non-food substances, such as dirt, soap, chalk, spikes, and spoons.

9- hairy spider

On August 8, 2012, a woman entered Zhengzhou Hospital, specializing in ear, nose, and throat surgery, where she complained of severe itching in her ear that had lasted for five days.

The doctors were surprised after examining her to find that the cause of the itching was a live spider in her ear canal.

The strange thing was that the spider wasn’t ordinary; it was furry and had four eyes.

It had crawled into the Chinese woman's ear while she was sleeping and considered her ear canal as its new home.

The problem was that the doctors were afraid of trying to remove it surgically, as they didn’t want the spider to burrow deeper into her ear.

Therefore, they decided to fill her ear with saline solution to drive the spider out. The experiment was successful, and the spider was removed.

10- microscopic worm

In 2010, an American man suffered from vision problems in his left eye. He felt that everything he saw with his left eye appeared with two dark spots on the horizon, as if he was looking through a lens with impurities.

After consulting a specialist and having close-up shots of his eye examined, he was shocked to discover that a microscopic worm was living inside his eye, feeding on the retina.

The doctors suggested that the worm reached its location after being swallowed in some way, and it started moving from the stomach to the brain and eye.

Although the person's vision was unclear, he was able to see the worm swimming in front of his eye before the doctor was able to remove it using a laser. Unfortunately, the person’s vision was unlikely to fully recover.
